Last night my bf and I had sex and it was pretty rough. It was missionary position. Right after we were done I had this sharp aching pain in my lower abs. I woke up this morning and the pain was still there. I have a IUD and thought that he could have hit it during sex. Could it also be that he was hitting my cervix. Well for anyone who knows more about this please let me know. What should I do about the pain for the mean time?

he couldnt have hit or jarred the IUD. those things are well "planted" in place so that sex doesnt move, jar or cause damage to them and they cant cause you damage. I have one its placed inside the uterus just like a baby is cushoned by the uterus and uterus lining so is the IUD. It also probably wouldnt be pain from the cervix. the cervix has no nerves in it. I found this out when I needed a cervical biopsy and the doctor wasnt going to use anything or even put me out for it. when obgyn's take pap smears and biopsies of the cervix they dont need to use any anestesia or topical numbing because there are no nerves past the first third of the vigina. wondered why I couldnt feel certain things above a certain place. when my partner and I were getting busy. thought I was just spacing off there for a minute LOL.
he might have caused you to have a very strong orgasm causing the uterus muscles to contract harder than they normally do when you orgasm or muscle strain in your abdomen from the rough sex.
he could have depending on the shape and direction that your uterus tilts hit your ovaries. had that done before and it hurts for days later.
it could also be cysts, polys. no matter what it is I would suggest going to your doctor for a check up just to make sure its muscles not something serious like cysts.
