I'm sorry that I don't have anything I can say to make it better, but I am here for you Treehouse!! 
Even though the you that is typing may feel like you are missing out on your son's life and on your life....please remember that there is a part of you that is always there. And someday...maybe those parts can learn to share more within the system.
