Over the last few months, I have experienced huge feelings of loneliness. I have just come out of a 10 year relationship (including marriage) - my wife split with me, I moved out and she moved another man in. The feelings of loneliness have been horrendous. To get through those times, I have been surrounding myself with friends, taking up new challenges and making sure my mind is busy - whether it be through learning something new or working.
It hurts the most are when I am on my own or when I am walking around and see other happy couples together. But going out with friends, meeting new people and keeping yourself occupied are great ways of combatting it.
