Hi,
I am a caregiver too, so if you are still on the board on this topic,
can you write back? My mother is also 82 and at times she can
be difficult. I find distractions, pleasurable to my mother really help
her stay in a good mood. These do not have to be expensive.
Do you have a family doctor you can talk
to? Do you try and have some time for yourself? All this is really important. Despite our occassional differences of opinion, I love my
mum. She too has had a hard life and so have I, so I have compassion
for her. I also realise some old people have their days when they
feel angry or frustrated and they can relive the past as if it were
yesterday. Anyway, let me know if you are still reading this topic.
