I had a hysterectomy at 26 years old. I would say about 5 months after the hysterectomy I had my first all out manic episode. I am a married woman, I have always had a good relationship with my husband; until just out of the blue I decided I needed another man to make me feel good. And he did. My husband finds out, we work it out and move on. Well, a year give and take a month or so around the time I had my first episode, I do the exact same thing again. Except this time things went a lot further, my episode was spiraling out of control. My husband still right there seeing everything going on, finally got me some help.

All of the time these things were happening, no one knew I had bipolar II disorder. We never knew much about it until I was hospitalized this last time.

What I am curious about is, does any one think that having that hysterectomy brought it on?? I am still trying to figure out my triggers. I just started putting the two events together and was just wondering if anyone had a similar incidence after a hysterectomy.
