I don't think anyone here condoned the use of handicapped spaces by the non-handicapped, and BlueMoon admitted she shouldn't have parked there. But she didn't leave the vehicle parked and go to a movie for two hours -- she ran into a laundromat for two minutes. No one lost a parking space; no one was waiting for a parking space.
Even if that had been the case, the woman in the laundromat had no right to be abusive. Common courtesy allows anyone to get their message across without causing someone to go home and shake and question their self-worth all day.
Who among us hasn't bent a rule? People can correct other people without being abusive.
