I take 150mg in the am and 150mg in the pm. If I don't split the dose I get a headache about half an hour before my dose and half an hour after before it wears off. I was only taking it at night before I explained this problem to my p-doc. She said it was fine to gradually split the dose. I'm pretty sure I'm hyper from Lamictal and Wellbutrin, but LM was added far more recently (10 weeks ago vs. one year ago), so I blame it for the last 6 weeks of hypo/mania (not sure which).

Some people are stimulated by LM, other people get super drowsy on it. If he's super "up" that's another phone call question to see if he can gradually switch his dose from PM to AM. Don't do anything without talking to DR and getting instructions though.

Obviously I am not a doctor. But it would be fun if I were. Then I could try whatever meds I potentially needed and get rid of the bad ones without having to ask someone's permission. (It probably doesn't work that way, but I'm in a weird mood/imaginationland).

Hope your son gets to feeling better without Abilify.
