Just wondering why you aren't calling your Dr & updating him with your situation? I am sure the last time you saw him he had no idea it would get this bad......no point in waiting another few weeks or incuring an ER bill when your Dr can fit you in with an emergency like this. If you call his office & leave a message to actually talk with your DR......since he knows what is going on with you....the front office peope you get when you call in are useless & never take anyone serious.

If it is an ulcer there is no point waiting longer as it could turn into a bleeding ulcer in your stomach & that is even worse......since your Dr already knows your case & is planning on tests, then he needs to get the testing started sooner or you could end up really sick (besides the weight loss)

Don't know your height, but 100 is the underweight point for me at 5'2". The stress I went through from the trauma caused me to loose 22 lbs.....I was in the hospital when I hit 5 pounds below the underweight point.....but then I couldn't eat at all & was having a problem even keeping fluids down (it was only stress causing it). I ended up with blood work that showed malnutrition which was when thy put me on the IV nutrition.....once they did that & I was able to eat part of a grilled cheese sandwich, oatmeal cookies once in awhile..just the little bit of food kept me from hitting the malnutrition point again.....the ER won't do anything with you unless your bloodwork shows up as malnutrition either.....they don't do anything just because you hit a specific weight point other than contact your Dr which is what you can do without the ER expense. I really don't think your Dr thought it would be as bad as it has gotten, that is why you should talk directly to him & let him know what is going on.

Oh, just want to let you know...as soon as you start feeling good enough to eat, going to a buffett isn't a good idea.....remember, right now, your stomach is shrinking without food....it takes a long time to get back to being able to eat normal again....it isn't a magic overnight thing just because you are feeling better....it takes awhile to work back up to being able to eat a normal amount again after this.....you know that too full feeling you get when you have stuffed yourself in the past....that is what you go through as you build back up to being to eat normally again.
