Your Dr is already doing tests to check out what the problem is that is causing your weight loss. The tests will determine if there is a problem or not......but like with me, there is alway a reason for the weight loss....in my case, it was caused by stress & I told my Dr that it was stress & told him what I was going through in the first place when I was in the hospital.... He told me that he just wanted to make sure & wanted to eliminate the possibility that is was anything else while he had me in the hospital, it was easy for them to do all the tests. When all the tests came back not showing anything, he believed me about the stress even though everyone was trying to shove me into an eating disorders treatment center again...lol.

I talked to an eating disorders center & told them what was going on.....they said, we don't treat anorexia problems like that even though it was actually anorixia because of the level of weight loss & everything associated with it medically, it just had nothing to do with body image problems & that is the only thing they treat (which I knew from the first time I was put into an eating disorder treatment center).

I hope you don't mind my little chuckle about your chest lumps.....I was on a skiing vacation one winter & in the shower, noticed a lump...panicked, when I got home, I immediately called my Dr & had a mammogram done......they didn't get back with me about it & I ended up calling them....he said not to worry, I was just "lumpy".....many people are like that.......so not to worry.....you are not alone with your condition. Being that I don't weigh that much & am very small (32AA-32A), every little lump is very obvious...lol.

Ive had doctors just shake their heads and look at me and say we dont know go somewhere else.
I have had that experience also....many times...think it's really a Dr thing......there are really so many things about the body that aren't obvious.....I have learned to just take it in stride & try to find a Dr that knows. My migraines that hit at the age of 43 after never even having a headache ever in my life to having chronic migraines that never went away....one UCLA specialist said I didn't have migraines & that I just needed to get out & exercise. Then the neurologist I was going to tried some treatment in the hospital for a week that had no effect.....then they did an MRI (or some test) & found I needed neck fusion. Had the neck fusion & the migraines continued......couldn't find a pain specialist that was willing to provide the pain medication that helped & when they finally did, the medication was changed & it quit working, so I asked about just increasing the level of the patches since it was the same med.....my husband was in the office when he said go ahead & try it...I tried it for a month with extra patches I had left over & he denied ever saying it & refused to continue to treat me....gave me enough med for a month at the higher dose & kicked me out. The next pain specialist told me that I needed to go off the med as it was causing the migraines...but she couldn't do that & I needed to see this other pain specialist who would care for me.....lol. When I went to him, he said, no, he was willing to prescribe the amount of medication I needed & there was no problem with that & it was stupid of her to tell me to go off the med. I have learned that every Dr has their own thoughts & ways & each one is different & most are WRONG. We just keep trying until we find a Dr that is capable of treating us & finding out the care we really need.

I even went to a knee surgeon when I injured my knee....he said he would go in arthroscopically & if he couldn't find anything he would just close it up & I would have to live with it that way (, it was getting so I couldn't even walk). I found another orthopedic surgeon that was awesome. He took my leg & moved it back & forth.....said the ACL was bad & he could fix it. He fixed it with major surgery at that time (before they were repairing it with arthroscipic surgery).....between his talented surgery & his Physical therapy even though I wasn't allowed to walk on the leg for 3 of the 6 months, I was out downhill skiing again, & playing racquettball 6 months after the surgery with a brace, but I was able to live again & to the things that were a huge part of my life.....just have to find the right Dr's & be willing not to give up even though they make it so you want to. The thing is, it's not us....it's them that is the problem.

At the ER (this was a while back for the same health issues) i was shaking cuz I was cold in just a gown. The ER doc looked at my Ex Boyfriend and said is she always this dramatic
I was always freezing in the ER in their stupid gowns.....I learned quickly to ask for a nice warm blanket. They keep those hospital blankets in a heating kind of thing & are more than willing to provide them. I was constantly in the ER for the migraine pain & a lot of times I would end up dehydrated from being out in the really hot summers in the desert in California & would end up needing IV fluid....funny thing, I would end up taking the blanket home with me.....ended up accumulating about 20 hospital blankets....I use them now around my puppy pens to keep them from messing outside the pen if I don't get them out for their potty walk quick enough...lol....never thought that they would come in handy for anything except keeping me warm in the ER room.

She was the kinda mom that if i wasnt dying or bleeding to death i had to act like nothing was wrong. Im so good at hiding my symptoms from growing up with that..now no one believes me
We really have to be aware of our symptoms as we are the only ones that can know when something isn't right in our bodies. I had a friend from college that hated going to Dr's & had a brain annurism that burst before he did anything about it......then even after that, he had symptoms that were a problem & his wife had tried to get him to go to the Dr.....ended up it was serious cancer & too far along by the time he went to the Dr. Dr's may not have the answer....when all else fails, I believe that the natural medicine can come up with solutions that the normal medical Dr's don't have a clue. There is usually some chemical imbalance that causes a problem. When we know there is a problem, we can't allow Dr's to pressure us into thinking it's all in our head.....if we have gone through all the possibilities & all sources point to nothing.....only then is it possible to realize there isn't anything wrong.

Im supposed to get lab results back today from them to see if i have an autoimmunine disease and i will let them know then im loosing a severe amount of weight.
There are many other possibilities for your weight loss than autoimmune disease.....as suggested also, the start of an ulcer, or many other gastrointestinal reasons....if this doesn't show up anything, don't let them give up....you may need to go to a specialist......for me, I could point to specific things each time I lost a massive amount of weight.....my reaction to the med I was on on top of the stress & stress is my major cause for weight loss for me.....just need to get your cause.

Sorry for rambling on so long.....started writing & just ended up with all these thoughts.

Take care of yourself it's important & don't be pressured into allowing you to think it's being a hypochondriac
