BEWARE... those who are thinking of getting a flu shot!!

Vaccine Side Effects (What to Expect)
Different side effects can be associated with the flu shot and LAIV.

The flu shot: The viruses in the flu shot are killed (inactivated), so you cannot get the flu from a flu shot. Some minor side effects that could occur are:

Soreness, redness, or swelling where the shot was given
Fever (low grade)
Aches
Runny nose
Headache
Sore throat
Cough

So it's not the flu. The shot still made me sick and I feel like I might as well have the flu. No more shots for me!

I've talked to a few other people that have had the same symptoms from a flu shot. My husband refuses to get them and has never had the flu.
