Before my husband was diagnosed with ADD, he was being treated for depression. All I can say is that the antidepressant drugs made him all fuzzy and out of focus. As it turns out they only heightened his ADD. Once he go off the antidepressant drugs and onto the Concerta he has done a whole 180. He is back to what he was before the antidepressants and even better.
Depression could be secondary to the ADD the same way that depression is often secondary to many chronic illnesses.
