You are right on in describing this as the middle of your subconscious, half asleep and half awake. This tends to happen as we are transitioning from waking state to sleep or from sleep to waking. It often starts with a nightmare. You are right that pushing yourself to move is the best way to wake up, but don't worry, you'll wake up eventually no matter what you do. Again, you are NOT possessed. This is a common experience, but doesn't happen as frequently in most people. If you have a therapist, or someone you can talk to about this - or even write about it repeatedly, the night terrors should decrease. The more you expose these fears to the light of day, the less they seem to need to manifest at night. Also, do you have medical or neurological conditions, such as perhaps seizures, or medications, which might contribute to the frequency of this phenomena? Consider all These things, but do not fear! billieJ
hi billieJ, thanks for your information. "medical or neurological conditions, such as perhaps seizures, or medications" ,umm i dont think i have any of that, im not on medications, and i dont have a therapist. my very first experiences do freaked me out! but now im getting used to it.

Sleep terrors, yeah i think it is. Sometimes i think its because im too paranoid since the first freeze experience, cause it feels so real, the whisper and everything. so the terror kept coming almost every night. last night i just had it again. I started to wondering if this is just a hallucinations? and yeah its terrorizing me in sleep.
