I don't know what it is about men and not thinking things out. I'm married to a very wonderful man but sometimes I think he's lost his bloody mind. Thanksgiving is the beginning of a very stressful season for us. I stopped hosting it because I just couldn't manage it anymore. After that he continued to insist that we go to his parents house and volunteered me to cook the turkey. DUH that's the hardest part! A forty pound bird requires a great deal of prep. Since his parents live 3 hours away and have so many people there already it requires leaving the house at 1 am. In HORRIBLE weather usually.

It sounds like you have a plan, stick to it. Have a nice relaxing holiday somewhere else.
