That must have been very humiliating and traumatic for your wife.
Yet, logic says that taking the medication was not the cause of this experience; it appears that there was something else that instigated the police being called...
In truth, not taking the medication has also resulted in hospitalizations, though admittedly achieved in a different way.
Does your wife see a psychotherapist to help her with this?
