Hi, knowing a 17 year old who was born with this illness, and knowing her two older sibs died shortly after birth, I guess I feel like I am somewhat enlightened.

We all think that a transpalnt is a fix all, end all. It is not. After the transplant which is very large hairy deal. Once that is over one has to take anti-immune suppresent drug drugs. My friends 17 year old developed lmphoma and spent 125 days in the hospital close to death. I don't know how large you are, if you can do home dialysis but she did for over a year and it went well. I pass no judgement on your choice. You must do what you feel is right. In this part of the country children are weighted over adults for transplants. Good luck with whatever you do. What is your creatnin now?
