I have a friend who needs mental health care but won't go himself. I can't get anyone to assist unless he breaks a law. He has been picked up on numerous complaints and sent for evaluation with shocking reports/results (schizophrenia) but they release him anyway with no referrals, no meds, nothing. Therefore he goes right back into his manic parinoid state and is a danger to himself and others. He has lost his ID, charge cards, cell phone and accidently killed his dog by leaving him in his car in hot weather while he wandered off somewhere.
I am suffering from this also but worry most about him.
Any suggestions would help.
I have even called a lawyer to see what it would take to become his gardian but I can't handle him myself.....
