Blue cohosh is recommended if you're under 40, black cohosh if you're over 40. Dong Quai (also known as women's ginseng) is supposed to be good for all around PMS symptoms, cramping included.

I can't attest to any of this because, like Sky, I don't have painful periods, or at least nothing that a couple of ibuprofen won't take care.
