I'm sorry that this has made you angry. When my daughter comes back to town I do not like sharing her with non-family members. Her time with the family is family time, her time with friends, whom I dearly love, is her friend time.
Try looking at it from another point of view. When we went across the country to visit my brother, he was SO excited we were there (he really was, I'm not being a smart@ss) that he invited his best friends over to meet us. He didn't mean to neglect us, but what should have been an enjoyable time catching up turned into a party. We didn't drive five days and 3000 miles to attend a party.
