There are lots of meds out there. No meds are known to treat BPD.

Imo, what the doctor prescribes depends upon what he diagnoses as a core difficulty for you. Anxiety, depression, etc. Tricyclics do work pretty well for depression mood swings. I take a med that works on 2 neurotransmitters, Effexor XR. Not sure if it (or it's brother) on the $4 deal. Probably not.
