The bill collectors are just as bad as the banks. At least the last 2 overdraft fees I've been slapped with (at $35 per) have been the BANK'S -- provable -- fault, and they've refused to do anything about it. Then, if you can't make an immediate deposit to cover it, they keep the fees accruing. Um -- if I had the money in the first place, don't you think I'd get myself back to a positive balance?

Sabby, I loved your tips, I'm going to use a couple. :-) Oftentimes I'll answer and say "she's not here right now, can I take a message?" Most of the time, courtesy caller ID, I just don't answer. I programmed my cell with a special ringtone for "people I don't want to talk to." LOLOL The important people whose calls I take right away each have their own ringtone too.

I've been unemployed for over a year. I don't know how they think they're going to get blood out of a turnip. I do hope there is a special place in hell for the particularly abusive ones, though.
