I have a last name that is easily mispronounced....at least with those who are unfamiliar to it, (honestly, it's a easy name, but ehh).
Anyhow, it used to be when someone called asking for Mr. or Mrs. (mispronounced), it was a perfect indication that this is definitely someone I don't want to talk to. So, I tell them that I'm just the babysitter, or house sitter, and "can I take a message?", or I simply tell them that they have wrong #.

Also, I figured out long ago, (when with hubs), that I give out my cell to ONLY those I WANT to hear from, and the lan line is for those I care not to speak with. Needless to say, I seldom, if ever, answered the lan line, (I soooo loved that lil "ringer mute" switch on the side of the phone) ..lmao..
