I have a puppy and I took her to doggie training. The first thing is when you issue a command and they do not listen, I was told, and still currently tell Gracie "No" in a deep whispy voice so she not only hears the word NO but it also catches her attention. Gracie is 8 months old and a small puppy and she would nip alot and it was hard to break her of that habit. At the doggie training class they have this stuff called "Sour Apple Spray". You are supposed to command the dog to stop biting, if they do not listen say no, Command again, if they do not listen tell them NO, command for the third time and if they continue to do it, you are to spray it in their mouth and say NO at the same time.

There are lots of things they taught me me and Gracie. She is very well behaved. Well, except when its time for Night Night Pee Pee. She doesnt like to come inside and she will run around the yard and I can not catch her. She is tiny so she is fast. When I finally catch her I tell her NO and usually she looks ashamed.
