I am going to give you the male perspective and also ask, did you ask him to clarify what he meant? if not, ask him. Men need to feel needed by the women in their lives. Not a insecure needy, but needed. I know some couples where the wife will not allow her man to do anything for her. She is self-sufficient which is great, but if she had a flat tire, she would rather change it then let her husband come in and be the "hero." I dont know, maybe some of this is going on?
