I don't enjoy getting a Pap test done either. I get them done every year.

QFB, you are worthwhile and you deserve to have whatever tests you want to give you peace of mind. Having a Pap test every year shouldn't be an issue for a doctor. It is a simple exam although it can be disturbing for some females to have to go through.
