I'm trying to listen to my body and rest when I have no energy. I don't give up and decide I'm going to waste a day, I just take it easy and don't put too much pressure on myself to do too much too quickly. I'm like Pomegranate, I push myself too far sometimes and can be convinced that I'm lazy when what I really am is too hard on myself. I find the best way to avoid "burn-out days" is to pace myself and try to take a little time to myself every single day to do something for me. Read non-school-related things, write non-school-related things, watch tv, go for a walk, play solitaire for a while. For me, it's about striking a balance. When I overwork myself or forget to take time for myself, that's when I get zapped of my energy, almost like a reminder that I just can't function at the level my overly critical mind expects.

Bring on the wonder, we got it all wrong,
we pushed you down deep in our souls, so hang on.
Bring on the wonder, bring on the song,
I pushed you down deep in my soul for too long.
