I identified with a lot you had to say, especially:

Then some how I do it and it all comes together.

I taught myself over the years to get to know my habits and how I did do things and to "relax" about it a little as it did end up being okay. Trust yourself! You're in this together with You :-) What needs doing will get done. I don't know that we can say we'd do it "better" if we did it differently, since we don't do it differently! I quit trying to read books and do things as I "should" do them and, instead, paid attention to my own likes and habits and worked with myself to help in any way I could. Let yourself just do outlines or just write a thesis statement only or just glance at a bunch of books and get your interest in the subject back?
Remind yourself of the projects you've done in the past and how they've turned out "okay" and, especially, remind yourself YOU ARE DOING IT ALL FOR YOU! The teacher, your parents, significant others, no one else "cares" what/how you do, you're doing it for you so you only have you to consider. It was very freeing to me to realize that I could take chances and do bizarre :-) things if I wanted to experiment because I was learning for me. Inevitably, I got all A's! That certainly wasn't the story when I was going to school like I was "supposed" to. Figure out what YOU want, not what your teacher wants!
