I went thru this last weekend; racing and slowing heart, flutters, pounding in my head (not pain, but the sound of my blood pounding in head, ears, throat), faint, sweating then normal then sweating... all signs of potential heart attack. I was worried, but not sure what to do. Then suddenly; total weakness in all limbs, blood turned to ice, and black and silver stars were popping in my vision - i was so close to blacking out. I called an ambulance, but when they got here, they took my vitals and all was normal. told me it was a panic attack. I was like "NOoooooooooo i KNOW panic!! this is NOT panic! Well... it is NOW because i am thinking heart attack, but otherwise no." They said see urgent care next day or dr on monday. I waited to se dr (urgent care would have said go to ER) but doc never called. all week - no call.
That said, I was told if it happens again, call 911 anyway - never know when the next one might be a heart attack. So - i pass on the message to you too. better to be safe than dead.
