I want to help him but don't know how.

He's on his 5th year - he has to take a whole extra year already and last night he started a paper due today at around 10pm. He pulled an all nighter, getting back home at 7am and did not finish

I want to help but I'm at a loss, I'm so scared he's going to fail and I'm having troubles of my own.
