I don't know about you . . . but sometimes I defensively laugh at someone who is showing genuine concern for me. I didn't get any genuine concern when I was a child; it's scary to open myself up and feel the emotions.

Is it wrong to laugh or find humor in your case? Probably not. You are human . . . and so is your Pdoc.
