Hi I'm new here and I'm glad I've found this wonderful site! Anyways I was hoping someone could help me out with a question. I've been dealing with depression and mood swings for years on end. I've never really been diagnosed with any particular mental disorder. The doctors just give me the pills and thats it. Lately my moods have been crazy and out of control. I went to see a general doctor because my friend said she was good. I told the doctor how I've been feeling and she decided to put me on zoloft. I decided against it because what zoloft is treated for, I feel that it wouldn't be for me. So my question is...What TYPE of doctor should I be seeing? I want to see someone who actually specializes in mental disorders..not someone who is just a general doctor. I'm just at my wits end. I really need help but I don't know where to seek it.
