Hi, Rachie,
I'm not on Ritalin, but, on generic Adderal, which is also a stimulant. But, for some reason, for us people with ADD/ADHD, stimulants don't make us wired. We come pre-wired! So, the ritalin/adderal for us has the opposit effect. It helps us calm down, to slow down. I'm amazed at the difference!

I take my adderal twice a day. It's a 10 mg pill, once in the morning and once in the early afternoon. I do not have any problem going to sleep. And I sleep like a baby! In fact, I sleep better now than I did before I started the medication, for some reason. I don't know if that's a normal reaction or not, but, it's true!

I also have some very nice dreams! LOL! (I never remembered my dreams before.) Again, I do not know if this is a reaction to the meds or not. I would love to hear from anyone else if these two issues, (sleeping better and dream recall), are because of the meds or something else.

Anyway, I hope this helps you some. Did it answer your question at all?

Peace!
