It is a good idea for anyone with a mental health problem to seek professional help but especially so if you think you may have a dissociative disorder.
The reason why I say this is, once it has been diagnosed by a professional then the outlook can look real good. Dissociative disorders in particular do well with talking therapies (with a competent understanding therapist.) If you have DID, the duration of therapy can be anywhere between three to five years or longer, but it is truly worth doing.
