I take my adderal twice a day. It's a 10 mg pill, once in the morning and once in the early afternoon. I do not have any problem going to sleep. And I sleep like a baby! In fact, I sleep better now than I did before I started the medication, for some reason. I don't know if that's a normal reaction or not, but, it's true!

I also have some very nice dreams! LOL! (I never remembered my dreams before.) Again, I do not know if this is a reaction to the meds or not. I would love to hear from anyone else if these two issues, (sleeping better and dream recall), are because of the meds or something else.

Anyway, I hope this helps you some. Did it answer your question at all?

Peace!
I am also on the generic fast-acting Adderall. Only, I started at the same dosage, but have increased to 50-60 mg a day.

Having been on anti-depressants over half my life, I am used to taking medications and being told "Do NOT touch dosage, time you take it anything to do with your meds!", now I have to adjust to my doctor's advice of "I want you to/need you to play with the dosage and times! We will be able to get you regulated better, quicker!" I made it a point to sign a waiver so I could communicate with him by email between appointments.

Talk to your doctor about what is going on. See if this is normal. It may be an adjustment thing, but the doc will be better to make that call.

My cycles changed when I went on Adderall. This is one effect the doctor's aren't aware of. Not only was my pdoc surprised when I brought it to him, the OB/GYN who looked at my uterine ultrasound (primary care doc requested to make sure nothing else was wrong) was also surprised about it. Since treating adults is pretty recent (the last decade or so) and ADHD is so subtle in women, I don't think anyone is getting feedback on this stuff.

Communication with the doc is a must, but you have support here!
