Well...you don't always.
Sometime you should try asking your head....ask the insiders if they can tell you who/which one has the role of intimate partner. Sometimes there will be different alters that share the role; like one to deal with the emotions of the intimacy, and one to deal with any physical discomfort/sensations.
It could take time for you to figure this out. But...if you practice talking to your insiders...and you let them know that it is okay to talk with you...hopefully, after a bit they will start to share more and more with you.
