Your post spoke volumes to me. I'm in the process of getting tested for ADHD, so I can't say with certainty that this is what I'm dealing with, but I found your post to be inspiring. A few close friends/family who I have told about my plans to seek testing for ADHD. Have asked me what I hope to get from that dx. And what you said is exactly what I want to get. I want to get myself under control. Even if that means using medication, but I also don't want to be on meds forever.
