That said, on the advice of my physician, I am definitely getting the H1N1 shot (I've already had my seasonal shot). I have gotten the flu shot annually for 20 years with no ill effects. I started the year after I had the flu and it turned into life-threatening pneumonia that landed me in the hospital (I have asthma, so I am at risk for such complications).
