Is it possible to go to a sleep clinic for insomnia issues? I know they do overnight studies for sleep apnea and narcolepsy and (I forget what it's called, but the sleep disorder where you move your arms and legs a lot during the night), but how would they do a sleep study for insomnia? If you can't sleep then how would they be able to study you? Would the results even be accurate if you only ended up getting an hour sleep and (no REM?) The reason I'm asking is because my newest sleeping pill has stopped working (remeron), being as it is 7:36am and I still have not gone to bed. I'm thinking at this point, perhaps I should be looking into a sleep disorder clinic as opposed to more meds.. it just seems like every med I take works for a week or two and then I become immune to it and it stops working. I need to figure out the underlying reason why I am not sleeping at night (this has been going on for years). What do you think, should I call the sleep clinic, or would it be pointless to go to one if I can't even sleep for the sleep test?
