So is mine! But a gynea can be a gynea on their own, but are not qualified to deliver babies......an obstetrician is both and delivers babies. They can also perform cesarean sections if need be.....

Congratualtions of becoming pregnant(to the thread starter)! Yes, it can be a bit frightening, for it is a new experience for you, but get to your doc as soon as you can so you can start getting your ultrasounds and so on......and Lynn is right, your doc will refer you to an OBGYN.
