Congratulations for joining the gym Berries!! I agree laying in your bed or being sedentary will only weaken you more. The last 8 months I haven't exercised much, but I did before that and I know the great feeling of being in shape. Lucky for me I'm naturally slim but I still feel out of shape right now. The last eight months I've been on the computer more than I should and I'm shocked at how fast I lost my strength. Normally I do cardio(power walking) and I love lifting weights. When I get in the routine of lifting weights I feel incredibly strong.

I used to belong to a gym, but found for me personally it was easier at home - but most people like the motivation that being in a gym offers. The problem with sporadic exercise like I've been doing - is it's like starting all over again( that sucks). At first you will feel like you're dragging your butt to the gym - no doubt you need to just force yourself and go into robot mode LOL. But after about 2 months you WILL start to feel stronger and energized. I highly recommend weight lifting and cardio. The weights will give you the fastest results. I'm famous for advising others to exercise, so I really need to practice what I preach and start again.

Since you used to exercise before it will be easier for you, compared to someone who's never exercised before - your muscles have a memory. Even if you don't feel like it - just go into robot mode and like the NIKE ad says "JUST DO IT". Best of luck Berries
