I keep flashing on the term 'inadequate'. There's something frightfully scary-lonely about that word, somehow, which is kind of weird, when you think about it sensibly. Who wants to be merely 'adequate'?

Maybe the reason it's such a scary term is that I want to be more than merely adequate, but feel I'm not even that.
