If you right-click on an image in Firefox, you should get a context-sensitive menu with a longer or shorter list of options, depending on the image and whether or not the image itself is used as a link. "Copy image" should be one option, "Properties" another. "Properties" will give the url of the image location and also of the link if one exists. Try playing with those and see how they work.

PS: I dual boot. Firefox is my default browser under Ubuntu Linux, Chrome under Windows XP.
