I love Firefox, and have no problems with the right-click context menu. My OS is Windows XP. I'm not sure why you're having problems.

Also, you can try selecting the image, going to the "Edit" menu and clicking on it, which should allow you a choice to Copy the image, and just put your cursor where you want to paste and go to the Edit menu again and click on "Paste."
