For some reason the general population does seem to think that people with mental health problems are scary. Last night I took a bunch of neighborhood kids trick or treating and 2 of the girls had on these bright orange mental asylum suits and had hand cuffs on. Now granted, these are some sweet girls, but its just typical of what seems to be most people's idea/impression of the mentally ill. Arg. It bugs the shi* out of me too, if that's any consolation.
