think the ideas I presented above primarily derive from the work of Heinz Kohut in the 1960s-70s. Again, I wish to stress these are early, tentative forays into finding a way to deal with my own situation and may not apply to Berries' or others'.
Nowheretorun, I'm glad you have confidence in your ability to control and direct your attention. I, unfortunately, must number myself among those whose abilities to command their own focus and mobilize their own energies are compromised.
