What were your feelings about the other people that were there? You said you didn't think it was family. It's possible the miscarriage represents that cleansing or washing away of something you don't like or don't want in your life. Are there any friends that you are trying to disassociate yourself with right now? Apparently this must be something of a sense of urgency as well. But stopping places along the way could represent somebody else not feeling that sense of urgency.
