I used to think that guys who gave you expensive gifts were merely trying to impress you...I now tend to think of those "gifts" as attempts to control....Later, you would hear things like...I gave you this or that..but you're not humoring me.......I'm supremely suspicious of big gift givers...I'd rather that they just give themselves.....
