Oooohm Marjan, isn't that the greatest?! I had flying dreams ALL THE TIME as a kid (and once that I recall as an adult), although I was always flying about 5 feet off the ground. I loved it and almost believed I could do it in real life if I just got in the right frame of mind(!) Couldn't of course...
But your dream reminded me of a recurring dream I had awhile back. It was flying... BUT I would fly way up in the air (afraid of heights btw) and then careen down in a terrifying fashion. The going up was horrible too, knowing that it meant the diving down. These dreams were positively awful. The younger flying dreams were very steady and fun. The adult ones with the swooping and diving were totally out of my control and terrifying. Sorry to use that word again, but that's what they were.
Don't remember what was happening at the time, but just now, writing it out....literally, this moment.. omg, could it really be that simple???... Didn't know it at that time, but I have bipolar. Is it possible that my dreams could have been trying to tell me this??? I hadn't even thought of these dreams since they were happening until reading Marjan's post. Now I'm just kind of thunderstruck.
Came to the thread thinking of 3 recent (good) dreams, but now, to quote The Far Side... My brain is full. (It's fine, really, just can't believe I didn't remember them when looking back for cycles and stuff over the years.

) Could a recurrent dream like that be just *that* straightforward and obvious?
