Dear Veterans,

I am very thankful for your service on my behalf. I am safer today and sleep safe tonight largely due to people like you who have gone through hell during your service in many hostile places.

I am very sorry that so many of you are coming home deeply harmed by the stresses of war and "police actions". I have suffered with ptsd since my teens due to abuse and it gives me some faint idea of the horrors you have experienced. I hate that you gave so much and lost so much. Just going there makes you heroes, I could never have done what you did.

I know I don't know. I do know I care about you and hope that you will find your way back to peace and to a life you can live with joy.
