I think it helps if one is able to work somewhere they love, or do something they're really enjoying. It would be great if all our hobbies were immensely profitable and actually worked towards the betterment of ourselves or society in general.

I know a lot of my job-related stress is because I'm not doing something I want to do - I'm doing something I have to do for the money & the insurance. My job is very soul-less. I manipulate numbers for the benefit of others. More than half of what I do, I don't even know why it needs to be done - I don't question it, I just do it.

Everyone keeps telling me 'If your job sucks so bad, why don't you quit?' It's just not that easy. It's not like I can just quit my job & run off to the rainforests of the Pacific Northwest to discover a cure for mankind's woes or something
