Thanks for your response, The Domestic Auto industry really has to struggle with compact class cars, this is where the Japanese cost advantage has hurt them the most. It looks like the next couple of years are promising though.
Ford is bringing its European model Focus here next year to replace the model you rented as an '11. Pic below is the European version, ours will look very similar:
Also in the B segment below it, Ford brings in the Fiesta, this car has garnered much praise in Europe and will launch here next year:
Chevrolet will replace the aging Colbalt with the Cruise, a mini Malibu that features an optional small turbo engine that will enable the car to get 40MPG
The car is already on sale in Europe.
